Lydia, we're sheltering under an umbrella, aren't we? Because the heavens have opened uh and that last race here at Silverstone were in hideous conditions, weren't they? I mean, does that sort of sum up this weekend?

Yeah, it's been a dreary weekend for me to be honest. I think I don't even really know how to sum it up, to be honest. I mean, even in that last race, uh I didn't put new wets on it because I can't really afford to, so I went on the old ones, and at the time it seemed like the right decision anyway, because it was only spitting, but obviously it rained, it then we had quite a heavy downpour, didn't we? And consistently throughout the race. So I think my old wet tyres just probably weren't enough. But then uh I had two spinners in front of me on two different occasions, so that was a close call. So to be honest, I think I'm lucky just to be at the end with the car in one piece.

Absolutely. I mean, you you did have to drive uh incredibly well to avoid collisions there and keep it on the track as well, given that your back end would have stepped out as you went round round the spinners. I mean that must have been a heart in the mount moment twice.

Yeah, well, the first one was the first corner, so obvious obviously everyone's barreling into the first corner together, which was even worse, really. Uh, and the that is also the problem because obviously everyone's so close, you lose so many positions. I mean, it was actually behind, I think I was at the back or behind the club sports, even so I lost loads of ground there. Um, and then once I'd collected it together and got going again, I then started catching the pack, and then I had another spinner on the main straight, uh, which again thankfully Silverstone's quite wide, so it's uh easy to go off track and avoid it, but yeah, certainly was all four wheels off the track trying to avoid. Um, so yeah, you know, at this stage I definitely can't afford any damage, so thank goodness I haven't received any.

Absolutely. Three races over the weekend, and you've sort of roughly finished mid-pack for each of those three races. A lot of cars behind you, uh, which is always a good place to be. Shows some consistency and shows that continuing journey of yours.

Yeah, it does. It's been a hard weekend. I think the nature of this circuit, everyone's very close, so to find those last little bits is tough. We had a tough uh race this morning. Um, yeah, I don't really know what to say. It's just one of those things, it's uh it's just one of those weekends where nothing's really gone our way. But hopefully we get to Brands Hatch next weekend. Um and yeah, fingers crossed, luck kind of swings my direction.

Yeah, we hope so. I've got to tot up the numbers tomorrow, make sure that we haven't spent more than I think we've spent. Uh, but thankfully walked away with limited to no damage, so that's always a good sign. That was gonna be the the factor, really. If I received quite a bit of damage, that was then gonna swing the balance, I think. So, yeah, we'll uh tot up the numbers tomorrow, but hopefully we'll make it. It would be a shame not to see the season out, so yeah, especially with where we are in the talent pool as well, it would be a shame not to not to finish the season.
